Happy Teachers' Day
Teachers' Day is celebrated in India every year on the 5th of September to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was the second President of India. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan greatest teacher and scholar of India. Teachers' Day in India is observed to celebrate his work and his drive for education.
On Teacher's day, students of Schools, dress up as their teachers and take lectures in the classroom. Sometimes, teachers sit in their class as students, trying to relive the time when they themselves were students. On this occasion of Teacher's Day, students perform songs and plays, acknowledging the contribution of their teachers. Students also show their affection to their favourite teachers in the form of cards, speeches and chocolates. Teachers also share their experiences with the students.
While in India Teachers Day celebrates on the 5th of September, in other in the country, its celebrates on different dates. This day celebrates all the teachers in our lives who transformed us into better people, made an impact on our lives, and positively motivated us to do better. They could be your teachers at school, your elder siblings or even your parents. The first Teachers' Day in India was marked on September 5, 1962, which was the 77th birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
